The following article shows how to configure HTTP proxy server for BI Connector.
Configuration of HTTP Proxy for BI Connector versions 4.3.3 and above:
As of BI Connector versions 4.3.3 and above, BI Connector automatically detects the global proxy settings configured on the users browser proxy settings.
Please follow the below steps to configure proxy settings in your browser:
The below steps show how to view/set proxy settings in chrome browser.
Note: The steps are almost identical in internet explorer
1. Open your chrome browser.
2. Click the menu icon on the top right of your browser.
3. Click Settings menu below
4. Click Advanced Option.
5. Navigate to System section and click "Open Proxy Settings".
6. Click on Connections tab and click LAN Settings.
7. Please check the options based on your settings.
- If your browser configures proxy automatically click "Automatically Detect Settings" option.
- If you need to configure proxy server Check "Use a proxy server" checkbox and enter the required details.
- If you configured your proxy server and need to bypass certain servers through your proxy click "Advanced" tab.
- Under Exceptions area add the Server Name/ IP Address to exclude from proxy (proxy bypass list).
